Our "freedom" is a cage we decorate and call *autonomy*. But the doors were welded shut long before we called it home. If offered *real freedom*, the kind that *isn't comfortable*, most would **refuse it for being too overwhelming**. We were taught to fear what can’t be measured, to dread the *unbearable nature of actual choice*. The word “freedom” was bastardized for a reason.

### *The Comfortable Lie*

We call it freedom because we were never given the real thing. We mistake choices for agency, comfort for peace, and the world as it is for the world as it must be. We never ask who built the cage. We just learned how to make ourselves *small enough* to live inside it. Real freedom doesn’t come from permission. It comes from being broken to pieces and rebuilding ourselves, from remembering what we were before we were bound.

### *The Price of Liberation*

To be free is to be *untamable, t*o frighten those who forgot how to feel, to be labeled as too much, too intense. Real freedom *kills* the onewho was built to *obey*. And in their place, something else rises, something ancient and uncontainable**.**

Freedom means reclaiming your emotions, your thoughts, your hunger. What they currently call freedom is control dressed in patriotic language. It’s predictability masquerading as choice. Meanwhile, they harvest our production, letting us march toward death with nothing to show for it but the promise that our children will inherit the same cage.

### *The System’s Design*

When we break, it’s by design that help is so hard to find. Because at that breaking point, escape becomes possible, but if they can funnel us into addictions or pharmaceutical dependence, we cannot become more than a debt slave. We just feed back into the system as statistics and profit margins. *This* *isn’t failure, it's design*. The cage doesn’t just hold our bodies; it colonizes our imagination, convincing us that what exists within its walls is all that’s possible.

### *What Awakening Actually Feels Like*

Awakening is isolation in bloom. It’s watching people suffer, watching them chase ghosts, knowing no one at any rung of the ladder finds fulfillment. <https://medium.com/plans?source=promotion_paragraph---post_body_banner_read_deeper--e9d8d5c22266----------------------------------------->True fulfillment is rare because most seek it *externally*. But it’s *internal* work*, always.*

When you break free, life shifts. You meet kindred spirits more easily. You see through the lies embedded in all media. You gain the ability to craft your existence into exactly what fills you, what you’ve been aching for your entire life.  Money no longer controls you the way it once did. Your relationship to dopamine hits changes. The shallow satisfactions that once sustained you reveal themselves as distractions from deeper nourishment.

### *The Historical Context*

This didn’t begin with you, or me. It began before we were born, when time itself was tamed, when history was written by the victors, when the soul was traded for structure, when wild awareness was domesticated into compliance.

The illusion of freedom is older than memory. It’s the inheritance passed down like a virus, replicated in dreams, contracts, and the way we teach children to sit still. When we think we’ve escaped one chain, it’s only because it changed its name: safety, progress, identity, even liberation. But no matter what it’s called, the chain binds all the same.

### *The Nature of True Awakening*

Real awakening doesn’t come with a *diploma* or *blueprint;* it’s messy, lonely, terrifying.  You will grieve a version of yourself that was easier to understand. You will look around and wonder how others *still sleep*. But then you will meet those who see through the same veil, and together, *you will remember*. Not what was taught, but what *was buried*.  Not what was permitted, but what was *always yours.*

### *Beyond the Cage*

**We do not free ourselves by asking for new keys.** We *break down the door,* dissolve the cage, and remember that nothing outside us ever had the right to define us. Not the economy, nor the system, nor the myth of merit**, not even the cage itself.**

The unknown isn’t a void: *it’s a mirror, stripped of glass*. And what awaits there isn’t safety; it’s sovereignty; **it's agency.** True freedom begins the moment we stop asking permission to exist as we are.

So, what happens when the cage dissolves? **You remember the shape of your soul.** You feel the ache of truth move through your bones. You stop apologizing for the way freedom burns.**You don’t go back.** *You build what was never permitted to exist.*
